AI generated code has moved from novelty to everyday tooling at an astonishing pace.

While most discussions focus on productivity gains and simple use cases, far less attention is paid to how far these systems can actually be pushed.

This talk explores using AI as the primary author of highly complex, specification driven software by attempting to build a complete ECMAScript compliant JavaScript engine.
Through real constraints, failures, and unexpected successes, we examine what is genuinely possible today, what still breaks down, and why many common assumptions about the limits of AI generated code are already outdated.
