Unstable Diffusion

Last time I spoke at DevSum I talked about the role of philosophy in architecture. It becomes clear that designing software systems in social environments is a philosophical problem situated right in the middle of 20th century philosophical debate between analytic and continental schools of thought. The rise of generative AI has the side effect of raising interest in these philosophical questions within architecture - and the success (or failure!) of generative AI will define architecture for a decade to come. This talk will look at the impact that generative AI might have on architecture beyond autocomplete for coders.
