Session: Hadoop, Spark, Scooby Doo, NoSQL, SQL Server on Linux, what gives?
Data, and insights from data, is central to almost everything we do. There was a time when data used to be simple. There were file-systems and relational databases. Screw drivers and hammers. Suddenly, there is NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, and thousands of database start-ups. Why? What gives? Join us to learn how we make sense of it all and how these tools can help you build awesome solutions. We won’t focus on ”they can coexist” but rather ”if you use the right tool for the job the result will be vastly improved”. We’ll also show you why and how SQL Server (the ‘hammer’) is making its way to Linux. (and no, Scooby Doo is not a data-thing, it is a dog in a cartoon).
